           CHAPTER-1:1:1 (NEW IMMIGRANTS)-SUMMER-DAY-1

There was a lot going on in the location of what would one day become the town of Winfield on that last day of spring in the year of 1853 as they were getting the area ready for the new settlers that were soon to be arriving to claim their new lots and set up their new homes and new lives. They needed to have a shopping plaza set up and were also having to get a civic plaza set up for when the new immigrant settlers all started arriving in town and wanting to be able to go shopping and to find jobs after getting houses built.
They also had to get other things ready like finding where would be the best place to locate Garden House which finally ended up out on Fern Road near where there was an empty lot for the first arrivals and it was a big lot with no house which kept the cost down where any newcomer would be able to afford to buy a larger monster sized lot without it taking all of their money though they wouldn't have a whole lot left. They would be happy just to have enough room to grow a family without having to move to another place. They would want to be able to expand the house.
The first of the new settlers to be arriving in town were all going to be arriving any time soon and they were  all going to be arriving in riverboats or by covered wagons pulled by teams of horses  though the ones arriving by boat would be having to walk and try to find their way to the lots they were supposed to move onto and hope the new  lot would be big enough to allow them to start a family and raise their children.
The first of the new settlers to arrive in Winfield were twelve year old Eli Jankowsky with her twelve year old husband Ami and they were both looking to start on better lives with a better future for themselves after finding out their government in the old country was trying to get young people to marry out of their groups like having gypsies marry others who weren't gypsies
Eli and Ami were both victims of that awful new policy if they decided to stay and might've had to marry to others and have unhappy marriages.

They were both having to walk from where
the river boat had let them off at the riverbanks just outside of town and it ended up being a very long walk for them to first get to the town center and later to find their road where their own home lot was located. They managed to find 18 Fern Road and get themselves there safely before the whole day was gone.
They had both gotten their computers claimed and claimed sleeping bags and the bikes which would make it easier to find their way around. They spent most of the first day trying to get to know the town and find the library.

Eli and Ami were both grateful to finally have a chance to study about gardening for a little while after finding the library and they each gained a skill level in gardening from the library visit. They went back to garden House and tried to get a little harvesting done and ended up having to use washrooms and try to eat some dinner before they went to their lot and tried to go to sleep in their sleeping bags.It started raining shortly after they'd gone to sleep and they were woken up by rain dripping in their faces and they went to Garden House and resumed their sleep in the beds there.
