  CHAPTER-1:1:13 (NEW IMMIGRANTS)-SUMMER-DAY-13

Eli and Ami Jankowsky were both up early and off to Garden House to get ready for the day and get busy harvesting produce from the garden and to do some dumpster diving to look for new furniture for when their house was finished.
They both wanted to see their house built and to be able to get moved into the house before the colder fall weather began to set in and forced them to start staying in Garden House every night because they couldn't sleep on their own lot with no shelter there except for a tent which had been fine for shelter in the summer though it wouldn't work well in the winter.
Eli and Ami finally had to stop working to wash up and eat dinner at about sunset and that was just before 7PM that evening. They both planned on getting to the grocery store to sell the produce after dinner and heading back after the trip to the store to work on their house.
They got out to the grocery store and managed to sell the produce for 900$ which was enough to pay for the new section of wall going up on their house. They both used their bikes to get into town to sell the produce to the grocery store and started to head back home after the trip into town. They were both starting for home after finishing up.Eli was hoping they'd have time to get the building done before winter set in and it could start snowing.

Ami got home first and he started cleaning up the mess the raccoon made with their garbage by knocking it over before Eli got home. They wanted to get more done on their house before the weather turned cold and raw.
They both remembered that they would've been forced to marry to strangers if they'd stayed in the old country and they didn't want that because it meant they'd be losing track of each other. They planned on getting what they could of the house built before winter set in and they could add to that over time when the weather was willing to permit it.They were hoping it wasn't to be a hard winter.Their hopes were for a winter without any snow which would make building easier. They wouldn't mind snow coming later in the season so much. That would also be better than getting it early on.
Eli decided to get that new section of wall up on their house which brought the house a day closer to being finished and ready to live in.This was something they were wanting done before winter got set in and they started getting snowed under for the season.
The new house was to be built to a point of being livable before the raw weather set in and made building impossible. They both knew that an unusually cold and harsh winter would certainly delay extending the house while the ground was buried in snow and the house buried to the eaves of the roof in snow. They did have some hopes that it would turn out to be a soft winter with little snow. They weren't looking for a cold harsh winter that would make building impossible until spring. They worried that they wouldn't be able to get settled in before winter started.
Eli and Ami were both very tired after working so hard all day to try to earn enough money to get work done on their house and they couldn't get to bed and get to sleep until 8:30.
