CHAPTER-1:1:8 (NEW IMMIGRANTS)-SUMMER-DAY-8
Eli and Ami Jankowsky both got up a little late that day and rushed to get themselves going before it got too late in the day.Ami found himself starting to come down with the flu so he was going to study and try to learn new skills for most of the day and ended up going dumpster diving later on while Eli was busy with the garden.
They were both wanting to get their house started and hoped they could get it built before fall started setting in and making it get very cold at night.They both decided to work hard though Ami was going to be studying and building up skills for the next two days until he got over the flu.
Eli got herself showered and ate dinner before having to leave for the grocery store to sell the produce she'd harvested earlier that day while Ami would be eating his dinner and having his shower.Ami decided that he'd start playing chess while Eli was out after he finished dinner and cleaned up since he couldn't go out himself.
He was building up his logic skill and waiting for Eli to get back from the store which was going to happen by 7:30 in the evening.She ended up riding her bike to the store and had to make sure she sold all of the produce because they really needed the money the most and couldn't cook yet.
Eli and Ami both managed to enjoy playing chess together for about an hour and started discussing their future plans as they were playing.They both planned on adopting a foal one day in the future and starting their family after expanding their house to make room for children.
They also hoped there would be neighbors to make friends with and that they'd also have children so the children could be friends and have playmates at school and during the summer when school was closed.The school would still offer classes though kids wouldn't be attending school during the summer unless it was art classes or driving classes for kids.
It was 8:30 in the evening when they both started realizing how tired they were and headed off to bed though they had to stay at Garden House because Ami was sick and they couldn't get flu shots in the summertime.They decided to use the bunk bed at Garden House and sleep indoors for Ami's sake.
