CHAPTER-1:1:7 (NEW IMMIGRANTS)SUMMER-DAY-7
Eli and Ami Jankowsky both got up early and it was too early to start gardening so they decided to run on the treadmills to build up athletic skill while they waited for it to be late enough to start gardening.Ami was working on the treadmill first before Eli got down there and joined him.
They were both working on building up the skills they never had any chance to build up before when they lived in the old country before immigrating and settling out west in Missouri.They both noticed there were lots of fun things to do in the basement of Garden House and there were beds for when storms got so bad there could be twisters.
They both got started working in the garden and getting produce harvested after it got late enough to get to work.They both ended up working very hard in the garden and got it done by late afternoon.Eli was grateful they did make the decision to immigrate and become settlers out west so they could choose who to marry instead of being forced to marry somebody they didn't want to get married to.
That was one of the crazy schemes to be thought up by a number of governments in the day and it caused a wave of immigration with those who got affected by these schemes.That also cause there to be a lot of unhappy marriages too.
Eli and Ami were both talking about their future plans and hoping to get their house extended before winter got started though it was possible that might get disrupted by snow falling early in the season when winter got started.They both decided to hope that winter snow didn't come until very late in the season if it even came at all.
They were also discussing their money and savings which they hoped would build up enough to be able to handle raising a child without anybody needing to work at jobs while their child was a tiny tot and to restart when they became a child.It would work better to not have to hire babysitters.
Eli and Ami felt they should get a little romantic though they needed to take care to make sure it didn't go too far and lead to an unplanned pregnancy without their having the house ready to live in.They felt they could go only so far with romance and had to be careful about going any further if they didn't want any disasters.
They felt that hugging and kissing was fine though going much further might be something best avoided while they were trying to get the house build started and had to build it slowly over time.They also agreed that just being friendly was fine and very safe though some romantic interactions were too risky.
Eli and Ami both decided to start playing chess together to build up logic skill since it was part of their lifetime wish to each max out logic and athletic skills before having children.They also knew that they could socialize while playing chess and have fun with it while they did it.
They eventually had to stop when it started getting quite late in the afternoon and they needed to eat and shower before selling the produce to the grocery store.They got ready to use the washrooms at 5PM and went to the grocery store to sell their produce for cash so they could start building when they had the money.
Ami got back from the store and ran to Garden House to go dumpster diving to look for some furniture for their house when they finally got it built and got moved into the house.He ended up having to take a bath after that and using the toilet.It was 7PM when he got done with the dumpster diving and got back to their lot.
They were both looking to get their cash saved up until they had 20000$ before starting on building their house and it would likely be a trailer home.It was because trailers were the easiest to build and easy to expand for starting a family later on.They were looking at getting something built soon.
It was 8PM when Ami got back to the lot and started getting ready to get to sleep while Eli was still at the store selling the produce and getting cash for it since they both wanted to get their new house built and be able to live at their lot with outings to the other lots being just for fun.
