       CHAPTER-1:1:6-(NEW IMMIGRANTS)-SUMMER-DAY-6

Eli and Ami were about to get up while the town had road crews out inspecting the roads to make sure they were still usable and not developing serious potholes on the surfaces. The bridge out to the island got inspected to make sure it wasn't damaged after the tremors.
There were some inspections of the buildings in the town center to make sure non of them were damaged by the shaking in the night. The Jankowskys were still sleeping while these inspections were going on and weren't expecting to be up for some hours yet.
They both were up by 6:30 in the morning and went right over to Garden House to get ready for the day and started right in on the gardens after showering and eating breakfast. They kept on working very hard for the rest of the day and managed to earn about 500$ for the produce.
They were still harvesting produce from the garden at 7PM and wanted to get it done quickly so they could get to bed before it got too late at night. They were confused about why the gardening went so late until Eli realized that they'd had to delay gardening.
Eli and Ami both went to bed that night at Garden House after checking on their own lot and finding it was getting too cold to sleep outside that night. It was 8PM when they both got to bed that night.
